Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Enkel ("we", "us") collects when you use enkelhq.com, the Enkel web and mobile apps, and the Enkel MCP server, what we do with it, and the choices you have. Questions go to support@enkelhq.com.
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address, and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account's name, email and profile picture.
- What you put into Enkel: the clients, leads, vendors, invoices, expenses, tasks, notes, files, messages and other records you and your team add to your workspaces.
- Data from apps you connect: when you connect a Google account to an Enkel app, the data described under "Google user data" below.
- Technical data: server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, errors), kept to run and secure the service.
- Visits to your short links and hosted files: when someone opens a short link or a hosted file's tracked link made with Enkel, we record their IP address, browser, the page that sent them, their language and the time, and show these to the workspace that made the link, so it can see how its links are used.
We use cookies only to keep you signed in and to protect forms from forgery. We don't use advertising or analytics trackers. The marketing site loads its fonts from Google Fonts.
How we use it
- To provide Enkel: show your data to you and the people you share a workspace with, and run the features you turn on.
- To send the emails the service needs: sign-in codes and workspace invitations.
- To keep Enkel secure, fix problems, and answer you when you contact us.
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Google user data
Enkel's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Each Enkel app that uses Google asks for its own permission, and only when you connect it. You can connect a different Google account to each app. What each one accesses:
Sign in with Google
Your name, email address and profile picture, to create your Enkel account and sign you in.
Google Calendar
Read-only access to your list of calendars and the events on the calendars you turn on. For each calendar you choose whether its events show in Enkel's Calendar (read from Google when you open it), become reminders in your workspace (upcoming events for the next 30 days, with their title, time and description), or both. Enkel never creates, changes or deletes anything in your Google Calendar.
Google Search Console
Read-only access to the sites in your Search Console account and their search performance (queries, pages, clicks, impressions and positions), to show you reports inside Enkel. These reports are read from Google when you open them and cached for up to 6 hours. Enkel never changes your Search Console settings.
Google Meet
Permission to create Google Meet meetings, change the settings of meetings Enkel created, and read their transcripts. Enkel creates a Meet link when you book an online appointment, turns on transcription for it where your Google account allows, and saves the transcript on that appointment. Google's permission screen covers the settings of all your Meet calls, but Enkel only uses it for meetings Enkel created, and never reads or changes any other meeting.
How we handle Google user data
- We use it only to provide the features above, which you can see and use inside Enkel.
- We don't sell it, use it for advertising, or use it to build or train general AI or machine-learning models.
- We don't share it with anyone except the people in the workspace you chose, the service providers listed below who run Enkel for us, or when the law requires it.
- No one at Enkel reads it, except with your permission, to investigate abuse or a security problem, or when the law requires it.
- Google access and refresh tokens are encrypted when stored.
- When you disconnect a Google account from an app, we delete its tokens. You can also remove Enkel's access at any time in your Google Account permissions.
AI features
When you use the assist box, your request and the workspace records needed to answer it are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, which processes them to produce the answer and doesn't use them to train its models. Nothing is sent unless you use the assist box.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers to host Enkel, send its emails, and run its sign-in, connected apps and AI features: DigitalOcean, Amazon Web Services, Anthropic and Google. They process your data only to provide these services to us.
When you use Web Scraper, the addresses you scrape may be sent to Scrape.do, a scraping service, to fetch pages that block direct requests. Avoid scraping addresses that hold private information in them.
We may also disclose data if the law requires it, or to a buyer if Enkel is sold, in which case this policy keeps applying.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while your account is open. Items you delete go to the trash first so they can be restored. To permanently delete your account and all of its data, email support@enkelhq.com from your account's email address and we'll do it within 30 days. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days. Single visits to short links and hosted files are kept for three months, after which only the number of visits per day stays. Pages fetched with Web Scraper are kept so we can check the service works well, and hosted files you delete are removed for good 30 days later.
Your choices and rights
You can see and change your data in Enkel at any time. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing support@enkelhq.com. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or India's DPDP Act) you may have further rights, including to object to processing or to complain to your data protection authority.
Security
Enkel is served only over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, and sensitive tokens are encrypted at rest. No service is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you.
Children
Enkel is for businesses and isn't meant for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top, and tell you by email or in the app if the change is significant.
